The successful completion of the Diploma of Property (Agency Management) will enable you to apply for a Class 1 licence (Licensee in Charge) from NSW Fair Trading.

You must have completed the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice or hold a real estate licence. 

Clusters 1-6 contain the units of competency by NSW Fair Trading, and therefore must be completed. In addition, the learner must choose one of the elective clusters.

The Effective Workplace Management Cluster provides insights to the planning and management of an effective workforce. It includes monitoring workforce trends, managing staff performance by developing key results areas, and managing and evaluating agency teams.

Cluster 3 Ethics and Compliance

CPPREP5001 Manage compliance in the property industry
CPPREP5003 Manage ethical practice in the property industry
CPPREP5002 Establish and monitor property industry trust account management practices

The Ethics and Compliance Cluster focuses on analysing, developing and evaluating compliance in the property industry. It includes establishing and monitoring management practice, reviewing controls for the operation of trust accounts and ensuring ethical practice systems are maintained.

The Marketing and Communication Strategies Cluster focuses on the development and implementation of a marketing strategy for the business. It includes development of a marketing and service strategy.

Cluster 5 Work Health and Safety

CPPREP5004 Manage a safe workplace in the property industry

The Work Health and Safety Cluster specifics the skills and knowledge required by legislation for a safe workplace. It includes establishment, maintenance and evaluation of work health and safety management systems in the property industry.

Cluster 6 Elective


1 unit of competency

The elective unit can be aligned to the requirements of the individual and can consider previous study undertaken. 

The elective unit must align to the qualification outcomes.

REINSW offers the following unit of competency as the elective unit: CPPREP4507 Provide property sustainability information in real estate.

This unit focuses on the knowledge and skills required to access, prepare and provide property sustainability reports for the real estate industry.

Regardless of the mode of delivery, all training and assessment tasks are aimed at confirming your ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills to the workplace.

Your assessments will include:

  • Short and extended answer questions
  • Workplace situation activities
  • Workplace skills assessment (Role play)

We encourage you to complete and submit your assessments within two weeks of completing the course, while the information is still fresh in your mind. Learners are required to submit all assessments via the online portal. REINSW recognises the needs of learners and has strategies in place to assist learners who may have difficulties with assessment tasks.

In order to complete assessments, you must have access to: a computer, Microsoft Word (or similar), an email address, the internet and a printer.

Throughout the duration of the course, and after completion of the course, REINSW expert trainers and assessors are available to provide support to learners should they require assistance with any part of their learning.

The assessment marking process takes up to four weeks from the date an assessment is received by REINSW. In most instances, results are available inside of this time frame.
