As the Assistant Agent Course consists of five units of the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, there are a further 13 units to be studied to complete the full qualification. 

Flexible learning options allow you to choose to enrol into the complete course and pay a reduced fee upfront, or enrol and pay for one cluster at a time.

RPL

RPL can be undertaken for certificate of registration holders to become Class 2 licence holders (Licensed Real Estate Agent). If you are an experienced agent, you should benefit from this experience, by undertaking recognition of prior learning (RPL). It may reduce the amount of learning required and reduce costs. Learn more.

RPL

$600 initial payment on registration, and then two further monthly payments direct debited from your credit card.

 

Total cost of RPL is $1800, which allows for two clusters of gap training if required.

RPL via inhouse group training has a saving of $300 per individual.

You must have a Certificate of Registration to be able to do this course.

Clusters 1-6 contain the units of competency prescribed by NSW Fair Trading, and therefore must be completed. In addition, the learner must choose one of the elective clusters. The Property Management 1 Cluster gives an understanding of the agency relationship with landlords and tenants. It includes the legal requirements for management and tenancy agreements and managing the ongoing relationship with landlord and tenant.

The Property Management 2 Cluster provides insight into the management of the ongoing tenancy. It includes rent arrears, routine inspections, maintenance, tenancy renewals and tenancy agreement breaches.

The Property Sales Cluster discusses activities to achieve listings, understand vendor expectations and conduct listing presentations. It includes understanding of buyer needs and expectations to find suitable properties, negotiating a sale between vendor and buyer and facilitating the completion of the sale.

The Trust Account Cluster provides an understanding of the legal requirements of operating a trust account. It includes transactions, balancing, reconciling and maintaining trust account records.

The Buyers’ Agent Cluster focuses on the specialist skills and knowledge required to represent a buyer in the sales transaction. It focuses on developing the profile of the services of a buyers’ agent to identify potential clients and markets and promote buyers’ agent services.

The Auctioneering Cluster is required to become an Accredited Auctioneer with NSW Fair Trading. It includes the knowledge and skills required to undertake pre-auction processes, conduct the auction and complete the auction sale to meet legislative requirement.

This is a practical course and you will be required conduct two mock auctions.

The General Elective Cluster focuses on the skills required to prepare and present information in a structured and professional manner.

Part 1 Present at hearings explores the process to present a case at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Part 2 Present Reports combines the research and presentation skills required to present a property sustainability report to clients.

Cluster 7.4 Elective - Stock and Station

The Stock and Station Elective cluster is required by NSW Fair Trading to gain a dual Real Estate and Stock and Station Licence. It focuses on the requirements to appraise and sell rural properties and livestock.

Regardless of the mode of delivery, all training and assessment tasks are aimed at confirming your ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills to the workplace. 

Your assessments will include:

Short and extended answer questions Workplace situation activities Workplace skills assessment (Role play)

We encourage you to complete and submit your assessments within two weeks of completing the course, while the information is still fresh in your mind. Learners are required to submit all assessments via the online portal. REINSW recognises the needs of learners and has strategies in place to assist learners who may have difficulties with assessment tasks.

In order to complete assessments, you must have access to: a computer, Microsoft Word (or similar), an email address, the internet and a printer.

Throughout the duration of the course, and after completion of the course, REINSW expert trainers and assessors are available to provide support to learners should they require assistance with any part of their learning.

The assessment marking process takes up to four weeks from the date an assessment is received by REINSW. In most instances, results are available inside of this time frame.
