Successfully completing the Auctioneer Accreditation Course allows an agent to become an Accredited Auctioneer with NSW Fair Trading. It is also an elective cluster from the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

Successfully completing the Auctioneer Accreditation Course allows an agent to become an Accredited Auctioneer with NSW Fair Trading. It includes the knowledge and skills required to undertake pre-auction processes, conduct an auction and complete the auction sale to meet legislative requirements.  

 This is a practical course and requires the learner to conduct two mock auctions.

12 units of competency from Real Estate Agent Licence course (CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) or current Real Estate Licence. 

3 units of competency

  • CPPREP4161 Undertake pre-auction processes
  • CPPREP4162 Conduct and complete sale by auction
  • CPPREP4163 Complete post-auction process and contact execution

Regardless of the mode of delivery, all training and assessment tasks are aimed at confirming your ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills to the workplace.

Your assessments will include:

  • Short and extended answer questions
  • Workplace situation activities
  • Workplace skills assessment (Role play)

We encourage you to complete and submit your assessments within two weeks of completing the course, while the information is still fresh in your mind. Learners are required to submit all assessments via the online portal. REINSW recognises the needs of learners and has strategies in place to assist learners who may have difficulties with assessment tasks.

In order to complete assessments, you must have access to: a computer, Microsoft Word (or similar), an email address, the internet and a printer.

Throughout the duration of the course, and after completion of the course, REINSW expert trainers and assessors are available to provide support to learners should they require assistance with any part of their learning.

The assessment marking process takes up to four weeks from the date an assessment is received by REINSW. In most instances, results are available inside of this time frame.
